Large Scale Off Road

The British Radio Car Association (BRCA) is pleased to announce the release of the official Drivers Briefing document for Round 8 of the Large Scale Off-Road Championship, hosted by NWLS RC Car Club on 11th–12th October 2025.

This document outlines everything competitors need to know ahead of the event — from registration and practice details to marshalling rules, scrutineering procedures, and on-site arrangements.

Key Highlights:

  • Practice & Qualifying: Free practice on Saturday, with qualifying rounds taking place Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
  • Finals Format: Lower finals run for 10–20 minutes, with the A final set at 30 minutes.
  • Marshalling & Safety: Hi-vis vests and gloves are mandatory; no one under 14 may marshal.
  • Scrutineering: Random checks will be conducted, including sound levels, engine specs, and build compliance.
  • Referees & Conduct: Drivers are reminded to maintain sportsmanship and follow all BRCA and host club rules.

Camping is available to pre-book directly with the host club via northwestlargescale.co.uk. Facilities include toilets, food on-site, and nearby hotel options for those preferring off-site accommodation.
