The clubs aim is to promote and encourage the sport of model car racing at its best. The club is open to all ages, our members are friendly and willing to help any new or novice racer. On race days the drivers are competitive but helpful if anyone has a problem. The Banbridge and District Model Car Club was formed in March 2004 with an original membership of 13. By the end of the 2005 racing season the club had grown to a membership of over 80 drivers, mechanics and marshals. The club is affiliated to the BRCA (British Radio Car Association) providing each member with full insurance, racing handbook, and newsletter. As well as the scheduled race calendar, the club also provides demonstration days at various charity events, school/village fairs and shows such as the Kilbroney car show & Hillsborough Oyster Festival. Club meetings are held every month, watch the facebook page and race dates link for further details. An annual prize presentation is held at the end of each season.
